This function represents one or more defocus curves so that they can be compared. It also calculates the area under the defocus curve.

DESCRIPTION:

This function represents one or more defocus curves in such a way they can be compared. It also calculates the area under the defocus curve above 0.3 logMAR, for visual acuity defocus curves, or 0.3 logCS, for contrast sensitivity defocus curves. In the following ranges:

  • Total: from all the range measured, this value can be compared only with others who measure the same range
  • Far: from +0.50 to -0.50 D
  • Intermediate: from -0.50 to -2.00 D
  • Near: from -2.00 to -4.00 D

The Refractive Analysis is an Open Source Toolbox for Matlab developed by Rodríguez-Vallejo M for the Analysis of Vision Science Results. It is freely available for the students of our online course but you need the Matlab software to use it. Matlab software is not provided with the course.
