This function detects defocus curves that do not have their maximum peak of visual acuity or contrast sensitivity at 0 D (infinity) in a dataset. It also corrects those shifted defocus curves so that they all have the best peak of vision at 0 D before performing a descriptive statistical analysis. The function also allows you to calculate the effective addition calculated as the difference between the two peaks of best vision in bifocal or trifocal intraocular lenses.
The Refractive Analysis is an Open Source Toolbox for Matlab developed by Rodríguez-Vallejo M for the Analysis of Vision Science Results. It is freely available for the students of our online course but you need the Matlab software to use it. Matlab software is not provided with the course.
